Couples apps: choose by what you need
The best couples app for you depends on what you want to do together. Conversation apps help you exchange prompts; planning apps help you keep ideas and details in one place. Compare the everyday task, the free features and the cost for both partners before choosing a subscription.

How was this comparison made?
Disclosure: OurLater publishes this guide and is one of the apps discussed. This is a comparison of publicly documented features, not a hands-on test of every app. Sources were checked on October 17, 2026. Prices, device support and included features can change; check the current listing before subscribing.
Which app fits which task?
| App | Useful starting point | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| OurLater | Save links, photos and notes for shared plans across six categories. | Free features and optional Plus terms in your store. |
| Paired | Daily conversation activities, questions and quizzes. | Free daily question versus the Premium library. |
| Agapé | A personalized daily question to spark conversation. | Current free and paid access in your region. |
| Lovewick | Question cards, date ideas and shared wishlists. | Which features you need from its optional premium plan. |

How should we compare free and paid plans?
Paired’s FAQ lists a free daily question and a Premium plan at US$79.99 per couple per year when checked. Treat that as a source-specific price, not a guaranteed offer in every store. Lovewick describes free access with an optional premium subscription. We have not verified a universal current Agapé price. Check the checkout screen for local currency, taxes, trial renewal and whether one subscription covers both people.
When would OurLater be the wrong fit?
If you mainly want guided relationship exercises, daily question packs or a full shared calendar, compare products built around those tasks. OurLater focuses on keeping inspiration useful: a restaurant link, a film, a song, a trip or an activity with the note that explains why you saved it. It does not replace a messaging service or professional support.
How can we try an app without overcommitting?
Agree on the problem you want to solve, then try one small activity together. Save three real ideas, answer one prompt or plan one week. Check whether both people can use the features they need before paying. Read the current privacy, deletion and subscription information, and review any trial renewal date.
For a practical starting point, build a small shared bucket list, browse date ideas, or try conversation prompts.
Your questions, answered.
Is there one best app for every couple?
No. Start with the task you want help with and try the relevant workflow together. A long feature list is not useful if neither person wants to open the app.
Can we use a free app?
Yes, if its free features meet your needs. Check which features require payment and whether any trial renews automatically.
Did OurLater independently test every app?
No. This guide compares official public descriptions and clearly identifies OurLater as its publisher.
